Privacy Policy for Hisaabi

Hisaabi is a personal finance and zakat tracking app. This policy explains what data the app touches and how it is handled.

Data storage

All of your financial data, including transactions, budgets, accounts, loans, and zakat records, stays on your device. Hisaabi stores this data locally in an encrypted database. Nothing you enter into Hisaabi is uploaded to a server we operate, because we do not operate a server that stores your data. There is no account creation, no sign-in, and no cloud sync.

Network requests the app makes

Hisaabi contacts a small, fixed set of external services strictly to fetch public reference data, such as currency exchange rates and gold or crypto prices. These requests do not include any of your personal or financial information; at most they carry a currency code. The allowlisted hosts are:

All of these connections use HTTPS. The app's release build blocks any unencrypted (cleartext) network traffic.

Optional AI features

Hisaabi includes optional AI-assisted features that are turned off by default. If you choose to enable one and supply your own API key for a provider of your choice, the text you submit to that feature is sent to the provider you configured. We do not see or store that data ourselves, and no AI provider is contacted unless you explicitly turn this on.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not collect analytics or advertising identifiers, and the app does not display ads.

Data deletion

You can delete all app data at any time from Settings, or by uninstalling the app. Because your data is never copied to a server we control, there is no separate deletion request process. Deleting it on your device deletes it everywhere it exists.

Children's privacy

Hisaabi is not directed at children and is not designed to collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
